Brilliant Kids Montessori School Summer Program in Carlsbad, San Diego, offers fun summer camp enrichment in math, exciting science (physics, chemistry, biology), creative writing, reading comprehension, and vocabulary development.

Summer 2012

There are TWO 3-week sessions.

July 2 – July 20
Be a Super Fit Mathlete!
*We will have school on July 4th.*
M-F 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Tuition: $900 for 3 weeks or $375 per week
Materials fee is included.
Note: In order to maximize the benefit of the program, 3 weeks is strongly recommended.

Be a Mathlete with Fun Physics!
Critical thinking and problem solving techniques to train yourself like an athlete
Fun math Tricks and math contests!
Learn the basics of simple machines: gears, wheels/axles, levers, pulleys with LEGOs! Students will work as young scientists and engineers to investigate and understand the operation of simple and compound machines found in everyday. Students will develop skills such as creative problem-solving, communication of ideas and teamwork. Activities lead students to make initial use of scientific method through observation, reasoning, prediction, and critical thinking.

Creative writing and reading sessions are also incorporated in the program.

Primary (ages 3-6) & Elementary (ages 6-12): The class will be divided into different levels based on assessments.

Physical Science and Applied Math in Astronomy & Advanced Applications
M-F 8:30 am – 1:30 p.m.
Tuition: $900 for 3 weeks or $375 per week

Primary (age 3-6): Enjoy the fun experiments with matter, physical & chemical reactions, and introductory problem solving techniques in math.
Elementary (age 6-12): A further exploration on the states of matter and the periodic table of elements. Learn more about how the electrons are shared/bonded between the atoms. Enjoy the fun of “mixing” to create interesting chemical reactions. While matter makes up the universe, we will explore advanced problem solving techniques with astronomical numbers! This session introduces advanced problem solving skills in algebra, metric, decimals, fractions, perimeter, circumference, areas, volumes, percents, ratio and proportion, trigonometry depending on student's previous experience.

Creative writing and reading sessions are also incorporated in the program.
